 Auckland 26th November 2015

Lobby, Newmarket Campus, University of Auckland, Auckland

The Lighthouse Platflorm held a re-launch of the Lighthouse Platform.  This event featured Professor Alister Ferguson, University of Strathclyde talking about overseas success in the photonics industry and also to learn about the Dodd-Walls Centre plans to assist NZ industry with photonics solutions.

The George Hotel, Christchurch

The Lighthouse Platflorm held a Meet and Greet event in Christchurch for Industry and Researchers in the Photonics and High Tech Sector.

 Dunedin 12th August 2013

Forsyth Barr Stadium, Dunedin

 A 'High Tech' Meet and Greet Event, sponsored by the Lighthouse, was held in Dunedin. This event featured University of Otago researchers and Dunedin businesses with an interest in technology, such as lasers and optics, ICT, and textiles.

Dunedin 22nd August 2012

Forsyth Barr Stadium, Dunedin

This event featured University of Otago researchers and Dunedin businesses with an interest in technology such as lasers and optics, ICT, chemistry, textiles and sports technology. Topics included:

  • How to access specialized technology within the Universities and IRL (e.g. state-of-the-art lasers, micromachining facilities, polymer fabrication facilities
  • Recently-announced plans for the Advanced Technology Institute to support High Value Manufacturing and Services How to access funding for R&D projects

Other Past Events

OVO Expo 2010

The OVC EXPO will be held in Wuhan, Hubei province on 2-5 November, 2010.  It has become the communication and cooperation stage for many international enterprises in the optoelectronic industry. It provides a good opportunity for firms to realize the development of China’s optoelectronic industry. It was founded in 2002 and has run successfully for six seasons.  The last expo attracted 307 exhibitors (110 were foreign), had 502 booths and a 15,000 square meters display area.

In conjunction with the OVC EXPO, two conferences will be held in Wuhan on 3-5 November, 2010.

 

1. The 9th International Conference on Photonics and Imaging in Biology and Medicine (PIBM 2010) - one of the largest international biomedical photonics conferences in Asia designed to bring  together scientists, engineers and clinical researchers from a variety of disciplines engaged in applying optical science, photonics and imaging technologies to problems in biology and medicine.
